For the second year CARE invites you to take part in the exciting National 3 Peaks Challenge this summer. Climb the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours! You will be taking part in the most popular mountaineering event in the UK and raising funds for CARE, educating underprivileged children in Pakistan.

National 3 Peaks 24 hour Challenge - Friday 7th June - Sunday 9th June 2013

You will travel to Scotland on Friday 7th June and stay overnight, ready to start the challenge on Saturday morning. Your first Challenge will be to tackle the highest of your 3 peaks, Ben Nevis (1344m) where you can take in the breathtaking views of the Scottish Highlands. You will then travel to the Lake District and head for Scafell Pike (978m), climbing in the dark and watching the sunrise! For the last leg of the challenge, you will travel to Wales to climb its highest mountain, Snowdon (1085m) before returning to London. You are required to fundraise a minimum of £500 (inclusive of £50 non-refundable deposit), have good level of fitness,take part in pre challenge training (organised by TravelPak) and complete a medical questionnaire and further medical assessment if needed We will provide transportation to/from London in a minibus; 1 night's B&B accommodation in Scotland on Friday 7th June and an experienced guide. Nanga Parbat Base Camp Trek 2013

Join CARE on its first trek to Nanga Parbat (Naked Mountain), the ninth highest peak in the world towering at 8125m and one of only 14 on the planet that are above 8000m. Located in Gilgit-­‐Balistan region of Pakistan, the mountain is set amongst a striking glacial backdrop and forms an imposing, isolated massif said to be the largest in the world. Managed by TravelPak, the 10 day Trek will start in Islamabad, following the route of the Karakoram Highway, through the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkwa, along the Indus River and up towards the Western anchor of the Himalaya range, to the beauty that is Nanga Parbat. All proceeds will go towards supporting CARE Pakistan in its 'Million Child Mission'
